Serein is built on a simple principle: your personal data never leaves your device. We do not operate servers, we do not collect analytics about your goals or reflections, and we do not sell or share anything about you.
This Privacy Policy explains what data Serein touches, where it lives, and how you stay in control of it at all times.
All data you create in Serein is stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage. This includes:
None of this information is transmitted to any external server, third-party service, or cloud platform. It exists only on the device where you installed Serein.
Serein does not collect, transmit, or process:
We have no account system. There is no login. We cannot access your data even if we wanted to.
Serein Premium is a one-time purchase processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not handle, store, or see your payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.
Your purchase receipt is verified directly with Apple on your device. No purchase data is sent to Serein's servers (of which there are none).
All reminders (Morning Check-in, Evening Review, Weekly Reflection) are scheduled locally on your device using iOS notification APIs. They do not require a network connection and no data leaves your device to trigger them.
You can disable all notifications at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Serein, or in Serein → Settings → Notifications.
You are always in control. You can permanently delete all Serein data at any time:
Serein is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used Serein and you have concerns, please contact us at the address below.
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of Serein after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Everything you write in Serein — goals, reflections, vision statements, notes — belongs entirely to you. Because all data is stored locally, we have no access to it, no license to it, and no ability to use it.
You are responsible for your own use of the App and for any content you create within it.

Serein is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
Serein is a personal guidance tool. It is not a substitute for professional advice — medical, psychological, financial, or otherwise. Any decisions you make based on your use of the App are your own responsibility.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use or inability to use Serein, including any loss of data.
Since all data is stored locally, we are not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, app deletion, or OS-level data removal.
Serein is distributed via Apple's App Store. Apple has no responsibility for the App or its content. In the event of any claim by a third party that the App infringes their intellectual property rights, we (not Apple) are responsible for the investigation and resolution of such claims.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is based. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms at any time. The revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of Serein after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
